Fondation Napoléon, Paris, France
2011, Light installation
The interior of the building is redrawn by two luminous lines running along the longitudinal walls. They mark out two moving areas on the surface of the walls. The lights seem to move forward and progress. The two luminous horizontals are of complementary colours; they could fuse together. The fluorescent light is engraved on our retinas. Our movements through this old chapel create the illusion that the two lines of light are moving and changing their position.
