The Maison Elsa Triolet-Aragon is publishing a book, in the form of a retrospective, retracing 30 years of contemporary art. The book presents over 100 artists who have worked at the Moulin de Villeneuve since 1994, showing the richness and fruitfulness of the relationship between this writers’ house and contemporary art, through reproductions of their works and previously unpublished texts expressing their relationship with the two authors and/or this unique place.
In accordance with Aragon’s wishes, the Moulin de Villeneuve, where the poet lived with Elsa Triolet in the Yvelines region of France, has been turned into a place of remembrance and support for artistic creation, in particular contemporary art. The works by Picasso, Léger, Taslitzky and Erni on display in the house shed light on Aragon and Elsa Triolet’s passion for the arts.
