Palace of Italian Institutions (Palais Moulay Hafid)
Tangier, MORROCO
2010, exhibition
Light generates space. An intense yellow light illuminates the space, gradually taking hold of its walls. The spatial light installation unfolds the volume of the building and intensifies. Yellow becomes spatially perceptible, takes the upper hand, and inundates the space like sunlight, while the building appears to move.
This room in the Palais des Institutions ends up being enveloped in yellow light, immersed in intense sunlight. Then the space is suddenly plunged into darkness, before a new ray of sunlight appears along a wall, a new departure for a solar trajectory that reveals the space by illuminating it.
