Institut des Arts Visuels, Orléans, France
2009, Light installation
Chromatic variations create movement and depth and, modifying perspective, transform the building as if it were doubled up with a new vision. They bring time into space. Horizontality is dragged along, as if pulled and sucked along by the movement. Horizontality is drawn as an oblique. The rooms at the Institut des Arts Visuels in Orléans are bathed in light, the colour impregnates and sheaths the walls, ceilings and tables like a luminous envelope. At night, the attraction presents visitors to the building with a new depth of field, like an experiment in light and colour.
